On 10th June 2015 the President of the Association of Jewish National Organizations of Kazakhstan "Mitzvah" and member of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan (APK) Alexander Baron visited Washington.  Together with the office of Congressman Ted Deutsch, a round table was held, which included presentation of the book "The History of People’s Memory” dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, with particular focus on the evacuation and the history of Jewish communities in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. A reception and screening of film “The Gift to Stalin” was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Washington on 9th September 2014. It was followed by an expert discussion featuring:  Mark Levin, Executive Director of NCSEJ: Advocates on behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States & Eurasia; Cathy Cosman, Senior Policy Analyst, U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom; Alexander Baron, President, "Mitzvah" Association of Jewish National Organizations of Kazakhstan; and Michael Rouland, Adjunct Professor, Georgetown University.
